What is PSARA ?
PSARA stands for the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, which governs the legal framework for operating private security agencies in India. Under this law, obtaining a valid PSARA license is mandatory for any entity to hire or deploy security guards, provide event security, cash-in-transit services, surveillance, consultancy, or detective operations
Application Process & Timelines
1. Prepare eligibility documents and training MoU.
2. Fill out Form I (application), Form II (antecedent verification), and Form III (security compliance affidavit).
3. Submit application via the State Controlling Authority’s portal or office.
4. Authorities carry out police verification of key personnel.
5. Physical inspection of agency premises may occur as needed.
6. If approved, the license is issued; typical timeframes range between 60–90 days depending on state

• Provident Fund (PF) Registration
• Certificate of Incorporation
• PAN Card
• Employees State Insurance (ESI) Registration
• Address proof of the Registered Office
• GST Registration Certificate
• Contractual Labour Act registration letter
• Shops & Establishment Act Registration
Eligibility Criteria for Securing PSARA License in India
PSARA License serves as a must-have legal certificate for pursing the private security business in India. Haryana PSARA Fees (Government Prescribed)
• One district license: ₹ 5,000
• Multiple districts (2–5): ₹ 10,000
• Entire state of Haryana: ₹ 25,000
These are the official government fees payable, typically via challan or online payment as per the state Controlling Authority’s guidelines.
