What is MSME Modification?

MSME stands for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. In a developing country like India, MSME Industries are the backbone of the economy.When these industries grow, the economy of the country grows as a whole and flourishes. These industries are also known as small-scale industries or SSI’s.

This registration is not yet made mandatory by the Government but it is beneficial to get one’s business registered under this because it provides a lot of benefits in terms of taxation, setting up the business, credit facilities, loans etc

    Documents Checklist

    Document Required for the Registration are as Follow:-

    (01) Aadhar Card

    In the case of a Proprietorship Firm, the Aadhar number of the proprietor is to be entered in the Udyam Registration form.
    In the case of a Partnership Firm, the Aadhar number of the managing partner is to be entered in the Udyam Registration form.
    In the case of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF), the Aadhar number of the Karta is to be entered in the Udyam Registration form.
    In the case of a Company or Limited Liability Partnership or a Cooperative Society or a Society or a Trust, the Aadhar number of the organisation or authorised signatory is to be entered in the Udyam Registration form.
    (02) PAN Card

    Business address proof

    Self-own property: allotment letter, property tax slip, possession letter.
    Rented property: rent receipts and NOC from the property owner.

    Company registration proof

    Photocopy of sale bill
    Photocopy of purchase bill (of raw material)

    License and purchase bills for machinery

    Photocopy of an industrial license
    Bills of purchasing machinery and installations

    To avail, the MSME registration benefits the following documents are required:

    MSME Certificate
    Aadhaar card
    Property Paper
    Rent agreement
    Cancelled cheque
    Partnership deed (for partnership firms)
    Memorandum of Association (for companies)
    Articles of Association (for companies)
    PAN
    The social category of the applicant (General, SC, ST or OBC)
    The physical ability of the applicant (disabled or not)

    MSME certificates act as evidence of MSME registration. For registering more than one enterprise, applicants must go through separate MSME registration online. The fees will be charged accordingly. Each enterprise will be allotted with an individual MSME certificate.

    Eligibility for MSME Registration

    The distinction between the manufacturing and services enterprises has been removed by making the investment amount and annual turnover similar for enterprises engaged in both the sectors.

    FAQ

    After filing online msme application form, MSME Registration Certificate will be issued immediately at email.
    Any entrepreneur having valid Aadhaar Number can apply for MSME Registration Online.
    In the interest of environment no physical copy of MSME Certificate will be issued. Government believes in paperless work.
    Every application will be approved. No application will be rejected. Application will be approved on the basis of information provided by applicant.
    At present Aadhaar Number is mandatory for issuance of MSME Certificate
    There is no difference between MSME Registration and SSI Registration. Earlier MSME Registration was know as SSI Registration.
    The Ministry of MSME, Government of India and SIDBI set up the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) with a view to facilitate flow of credit to the MSE sector without the need for collaterals/ third party guarantees. The main objective of the scheme is that the lender should give importance to project viability and secure the credit facility purely on the primary security of the assets financed. The Credit Guarantee scheme (CGS) seeks to reassure the lender that, in the event of an MSE unit, which availed collateral- free credit facilities, fails to discharge its liabilities to the lender, the Guarantee Trust would make good the loss incurred by the lender up to 85 % of the outstanding amount in default.
    Udyam Registration is MSME registration to start business under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) approved by Government of India. Whereas MSME/Udyog Aadhaar is a 12-digit Unique Identification Number (UIN) provided by the MoMSME for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
    The purpose of the MSME is to help the micro, small and medium enterprises of India in growing further. These enterprises generate the majority of employment, industries and export in the country. Thus, by encouraging the MSME to grow will result in the socio-economic development of the country.
    MSME registration certificate is proof of being registered as an MSME. The certificate is disbursed when an MSME application gets confirmed.
